HOUSE VISUALS: Link 1 || Link 2 || Link 3 || Link 4 || Link 5 LOCATION: On the shore of a lake just outside of town MISCELLANEOUS DETAILS: - Within the house basement there is a hatch that leads to a wide, water-filled tunnel. This tunnel is wide enough to swim through and is connected to the lake, so it can be used as a second entrance into the house. Roxas has no problem swimming through this tunnel since he can breathe underwater, but it might be a bit daunting for normal people. - There is a small attic with a window that leads to the rooftop, which is a nice place to sit and get away for a bit. - As of the completion of The Legend of Princess Kaguya, there is now a magical ice box in the kitchen that works as well as a modern freezer. - As of the completion of The Little Mermaid, there is now a new room in his house that functions as both sitting room and personal library. - As of the completion of A Midsummer Rose, there is now a new room in his house that functions as a guest bedroom. |
IN-DEPTH: Roxas's page on KHWiki. The Nobody of the series' main character, Sora. When a strong-willed person loses their heart to darkness and becomed a Heartless, the empty body left behind grows an awareness of its own and becomes a Nobody. When Sora used a Keyblade of darkness to unlock his heart to help his friend Kairi, he unknowingly created Roxas as a result. Roxas was recruited into Organization XIII due to his ability to wield the Keyblade, and was told he was the key to the Organization's goal of acquiring hearts of their own. Unlike the other members, Roxas had no memory of his original self and took their word for it that he was doing the right thing. However, when Roxas began to have flashback to memories of Sora and began questioning who he was, he eventually defected from Organization XIII in an attempt to find answers. His independence was short-lived, however, as he was quickly captured by Riku and DiZ, who were trying to help Sora after he'd gone into a coma to recover his memories that had been scrambled during his time in Castle Oblivion. The two placed Roxas in a simulated version of Twilight Town for safekeeping against the Organization, altering his memories and making Roxas believe he was a normal kid. However, Axel, a member of the Organization and Roxas's former friend ended up finding him and began to interfere with the simulation, which set off a series of events that allowed Roxas to remember who he was, reawaken his abilities, and eventually lead Roxas to find and re-merge with Sora. Though he has returned to Sora's heart, he has still shown his presence and influence in subtle ways, such as through odd comments and actions done by Sora, using Sora to briefly project himself, or directly interacting with individuals within Sora's heart. PERSONALITY Being born from Sora's heart, Roxas has a few personality traits that are similar to his original self. He deeply cares for those who he considers his friends and can be fiercely protective of them, and he has little patience for those who try to confuse him or manipulate him in any way. With his friends he can be happy, carefree, and cheerful, though this is usually reserved for those he opens up to. However, he differs greatly from Sora in that he is much more quiet, stoic, distracted, and even melancholic at times. He is less easily fooled and less impulsive than Sora, but he is much more arrogant, cocky, and confident, and is much quicker to anger. Roxas is short-tempered, blunt, and aggressive against enemies, and if provoked enough he can fly into a blind rage, foregoing any form of defense in favour of single-mindedly attacking the object of his anger. He also differs from Sora in terms of not wanting to live the hero's lifestyle, instead longing for a life that's simpler and less complicated. He is a strongly independent person and can be stubborn, even selfish at times, and hates being told where his "place" is, but if given enough time to process something he can become at peace with it and accept it of his own volition, such as when he returned to Sora. Overall he is a good-meaning kid who just wants to live his own life, without others telling him how to do it. QUIRK IN-DEPTH: Roxas isn't normally a singer, but after gaining his essence he finds himself humming or singing more often. ABILITIES WEAPON: N/A - Coming to the Index has stripped him of his Keyblade and magic abilities in exchange for his Essence abilities. STYLE: Normally, dual-wielding all-out offensive with high physical and magic output. While in the Index, he will be more magic-based until he regains abilities similar to his abilities back home. Merman Transformation: While submerged in water, Roxas can breathe underwater and everything from the waist down becomes that of a dolphin’s, with cool grey skin and small dorsal fin. He has this tail for as long as he is submerged or his tail is in contact with water; if he becomes completely dry, his tail reverts into human legs. He can be out of water for a total of three days before every step causes excruciating pain, and he loses his voice. He will need to spend some time in the water recovering if he gets to this point. As of the completion of The Legend of Princess Kaguya, the magic of his transformation also affects any clothes he is wearing; any clothes he wears will now magically vanish when he transforms, and will magically re-appear when he transforms back to human form. Roxas's merman form. Magic Song: Roxas can use his singing as a conduit for magic. By singing various songs, he can create various magical effects, from the traditional siren's lure, to buffs and enchantments, to offensive spells. Current known magical abilities: Siren's Lure - Roxas draws the listener closer to his location while he sings, without acknowledgment or care for potential harm.
Water Weapon - Using the power of his voice, Roxas can manipulate water and form it into a weapon that can be wielded. The weapon is strong enough to service as an effective combat weapon. Gained after completing A Hollow Christmas Carol.
Water Resistance (cold) - While in merman form, Roxas has more resistance to cold waters. Not long enough for lengthy swims, but he can dip into frigid water for a short while before he is affected by hypothermia. Gained after completing A Hollow Christmas Carol.
Bardic Inspiration - Roxas can sing a melody that will bolster and inspire others around him, grant them courage, or help them be more determined against enemies. Gained after completing The Legend of Princess Kaguya.
Stunning Note - Roxas can shout out a note that can stun enemies for a brief time. Gained after completing The Legend of Princess Kaguya.
Seafoam Form - Roxas can transform his body into seafoam for an extremely brief period of time (a max of about 10 seconds). While in seafoam form he is unable to talk or attack until he reforms into his solid form, but he is impervious to damage and able to slip through any gap that water can slip through. He must take a rest in between each use of this ability. Gained after completing The Little Mermaid.
Speak With Aquatic Animals - Roxas can communicate with fish and creatures affiliated with the ocean. He can communicate simple ideas to them and they can understand the meaning of his words, though he currently has no special ability to understand them in return. Gained after completing The Little Mermaid. Alice in Wonderland Upgrade: Roxas is able to understand the creatures he talks to, to the point of being able to understand them in return. The tasks he can instruct them can be more intricate, but they are still limited by their forms as to whether or not they can actually perform them or not. Mimicry - Using the magic of his voice, Roxas can mimic voices and sounds to create sound-based illusions. He can only create one sound at a time. Gained after completing A Midsummer Rose.
Mermaid's Gift - Roxas can grant someone the ability to temporarily breathe underwater. This can be done either by using his magic to create a bubble for them to breathe, or by kissing them. The bubble only lasts a maximum of 10 minutes, while the kiss lasts 20 minutes. Gained after completing A Midsummer Rose
Water Elemental - Using the power of his voice, Roxas can sing to the water and call forth a small water spirit under his control for a short period of time. The spirit is vaguely humanoid in shape and can perform simple tasks. The spirit vanishes if it is dismissed or if the water that forms it is scattered enough. Gained after completing Alice in Wonderland
Mermaid's Dagger - Roxas is given an elegant dagger that, when stabbed into dry ground, creates a small pond of water. The environment the ground in which the dagger is stabbed in will affect how much water is created; a dry desert will yield less water than a woodland forest. As of the current level, the amount of water created is enough to form one water weapon. Gained after completing Alice in Wonderland
Mermaid Transformation - Alternate Form - Roxas gains the ability to transform into an alternate mermaid form. This form follows the same transformation abilities and restrictions as his usual form, but this form is more adept in polluted water. When confronted by significantly polluted water, Roxas will transform into this alternate form rather than his usual form. Gained after completing Frankenhyde Stormcalling - Roxas is able to use his voice to adjust the weather. He can call clouds to gather and create small storms.
